New Hardware on my Computer 2010-03-06 17:54:22 Reply

Okay so I got a new wireless mouse & keyboard, cause my wired ones were just shot. So the new mouse kind of spaz'es (spelling) and moves on its own sometimes. Most of the time I have to hold it with most of my hand it keep it steady. The keyboard's first row of keys don't work sometimes, I have to hold them down for it to show up. (numbers,-=\). Is this just this new stuff getting used to my computer? Or is it just fucked up?

& I did google it, it really didn't help me. Thanks NG'ers

If its an IR wireless keyboard/mouse, make sure the sensor is positioned properly.

It sounds like the trackpoint something in your laptop has malfunctioned, it happens alot in latitude laptops. if you have a laptop you should disable the serial keyboard and port options via the bios.
That should fix your problems with erratic movements with your mouse. (:

Ever since I watched that, all my "recommended for you" videos have somehow turned into "how to smoke smarties".
