Can someone tell me why Turkey is so pissed about this? If everyone who had any involvement in this is dead and it has nothing to do with the current government and people, why would they care?

Turks think they didn't kill that many since unlike Germany they weren't cracked open to make it so that they can't deny that they did, so the generation that did commit the crimes were left to reform the government and to teach there kids they didn't do that much.

By "Turkey" do you mean the freaks in government that bended over to the Anglo-American Empire? I would say then that they don't care. Just a distraction, nothing to see here.

Are you fucking me? Turks historiclly were always European-Arabic, basically the mix of the two. The Armenian Genocide is there biggest foreign policy issue for them, hell they even stopped a film being made about the Armenian Genocide.

I don't? Yah I do, they migrated from the East, the Bulgars migrated the farthest, some went all the way up North to present day Russia and formed Volga Bulgaria, while others went to the Danube and formed Bulgaria. All I said was that the Turks are the bridge across Europe and the Middle East other then Israel, while they have Turkish traditions and some ways of life more similar to Arabic, they also have European influences as well, for example, they treat the Kurds like shit like the Arabs, and then want to join the EU, they are part of the UN force and cosntantly supply military forces etc.

Of course judging from your posts I don't see why I'm going to even bother argueing with you.

I find it humorous that Turkey is claiming that the US is making this decision based on politics, not facts. The only reason the US hasn't made any sort of statement on the Armenian Genocide is because of fears that relations with Turkey would suffer, which is a political reason.

An easy solution would be to refer to it as the Armenian Accident.

Who the hell are you talking to? Obviously you have the mark of the prejudiced. Stop whining about the US. They're not scared about anyone. The new world order only uses this distraction to lure the Turks (who are Euro-Asian btw dumbass) away from the CIA drug trade in Turkey.

Whoops! Sorry Zerostar! I kinda jumped the gun and thought you were Warmonger. Basically what is important is not this masquerade of stupid politicians (some of which have commited genocide) but an agreement of people. There is an equation people often forget. Government%u2260people, Politicians%u2260National View, Government=greed, Government=frequent lies with some truth.

They're like the Japanese, they wanted to cover up the skeletons in their closets. Granted we had our fair share as well but seriously...

If someone went up to you and accused your people of genocide, would you just accept that?

Modern Turkey isn't even remotely close to the Ottoman state. Asking the Turks to admit it was a genocide would be like asking the Italians to own up to atrocities committed by the Roman Empire.

More importantly, why are there idiots acting like the modern generation of Turks is responsible for that, or that they still need to be treated better due to the suffering they didn't go through.

It seems to be human nature to pass the blame for the actions of one generation onto the next.

I don't believe anyone is asking the current Turkish government to "own up" to a genocide committed by people who are all currently dead. They're asking for the genocide to be recognized by the US government, and the Turks are actively denying it and lobbying against it.
