My thoughts exactly. I mean I used to love their old stuff, I still think it's great. But ever since Fear of the Dark they haven't really been any good at all. There is a point were a band has to stop and say, "Are we really going to get any better than this?" That point for them was probably in the late eighties, maybe even earlier.
Gonna see them live at Sonisphere.
Looking more forward to BFMV's new album though.

actually, I though a matter of life and death was awesome.
I've been aware of them working on a new album for some time now. I'm really looking forward to their new album, even if the chances of it being on par with The Number of the Beast and Powerslave are very slim.

And they're not even going to be touring with them outside America. That really disappoints me as when I saw Maiden in 2008, their supporting acts were Within Temptation and Avenged Sevenfold. Neither of them I liked. If Dream Theater aren't going to be tour elsewhere with them, at least have another good band to tour for the rest of the shows.
