Is there a way to put non-music audo files (lectures from school about 50 of them) in a separate place than my songs? I don't like have them mixed in with the rest of my music, I want them separated to keep things more organized, but can you do that?

Get a second i-pod. Use one for music and the other for lectures.

Just put them under an Artist name like "ZZLectures"
They'll be at the VERY bottom of your list of music and will all be in one place.

I did that but is there a way to not have it in my song list? I'm not a fan of so many lectures when I go to songs. LIke I don't like have a huge chunk of lectures in my Song list.

You could make a playlist. They will be in with the rest of your music but all you have to do is go to the playlist to group them.

You could set them as Podcasts, then they won;t show up in the music bit. Right click, Get Info, Options tab, Media Type bit.

Connect your iPod with iTunes, select all the files you want out of your music, right-click then click get info. Go to "Sorting" and set media kind as audiobook, it will then move them to a different section.
