I really do enjoy "Stylo" featuring Mos Def and Bobby Womack - I'd say the overall album is different to the other Gorrilaz releases. That's not a bad thing since I love a change.
Eh, I'm still "struggling" to get into the other Gorillaz releases.

Not too bad, I got a pretty decent job, funny friends, and a good future ahead of me so I can't really complain.

Good to hear. Always nice when things go well. Now, opinions on the album, right?
Used to like Gorrilaz but then lots of my friends started listening to them and playing them on their ipod docks, now i can't stand them.
Heard a few songs of this album, they weren't too great.

I find the Gorrilaz change their sound every album, I'm not to fond of it, nor am I fond of the new album to be honest. As Jesus said, too much rap and cameo appearances.

It's alright, but I still like their classic songs better. You just can't replace the feeling Feel Good Inc. gives you.

Meh. I'm not digging it as much as the others. I have agree that there's too much rap and too many cameos.
As you guys said, way too much rap and cameos. Also, it has too much pop for my tastes. Did anyone else prefer the "Broken" demo over the actual song? Because I sure as hell did.

Yeah, Demon Days was one of the greatest albums of the last decade, so it's hard to live up to that granted. This is just a huge departure, and while enjoyable at parts, I can't say I prefer it.
Awesome! Thanks.
Personally, the Gorillaz are my favorite band of all time, I doubt that will ever go away. I'ma go listen now...

It's kind of like that with most albums and songs. It takes a while to adjust to the new tracks, but after a while you start to like them. The sad truth is though that their new material is good, but not as good as to live up to their glory days. Still a decent album though.

Superfast Jellyfish is my second favorite song right now, so damn happy.
Stylo is probably the best song on the album, but I'll give it a second listen before I say anything more. A few of the songs sound great, dunno which ones except Stylo.
Fuck I really wish I could just sleep through all this Gorillaz drama and let everyone get it over with.

Two tracks not available in the NPR stream:
17. "Pirate's Progress" (iTunes Deluxe LP bonus track)
18. "Three Hearts, Seven Seas, Twelve Moons" (iTunes Deluxe LP bonus track)
Other than that, it appears to be the full version of 16 tracks. Got the mp3s in my winamp list now.

I am the aforementioned Zac on Facebook. I love this album, I think it's on par with Demon Days in it's own ways. In a few years time, I think this album will fit very nicely into all of the Gorillaz's fan's hearts.
Also, come check out the Gorillaz Fan Club! I post Gorillaz updates almost as soon as they happen!

Heeeey, there you are. Forgot your name entirely on Newgrounds, sorry about that. I wouldn't say it's on par with Demon Days really, but it definitely has a very unique feel that hasn't been done before in music. So it certainly has that. The 80's synth is definitely appreciated.

No worries. And I say it is on par in my opinion. I really love this album, and I can't wait to have my own copy. A lot of people were expecting another album just like Demon Days, but I'm more than happy that they didn't take that route. Gorillaz isn't know for doing anything too cliche and ordinary :)
You lot complain about the amount of rap/pop on this one. But, that's what this one is. It's a rap/pop record. I know they generally touch on every genre, but, I guess they felt more comfortable here.
I will say, I'm saddened by the lack of 2D's (Albarn's) vocals. I feel he should be the main focus, with the guests supporting him, not the other way around. And, as someone else said elsewhere, the two hardly clash or interact with each other. This is a disappointment.
Anyways, don't forget to check out the Stylo music video!

Wow. That was a huge disappointment. I know they can't top Demon Days but fuck, they could have at least tried.

What didn't you like about it?
I've listened to it twice now. I really, really like it. Of course Demon Days can't be topped (or can it...?), but this was easily comparable to D-Sides in quality, if not better (I'm not really sure yet). And I really like D-Sides too.
And I don't understand all the complaints about the rap.
First off we have Snoop Dogg. Which we all know is not just any rapper. He's the mo'fuggin Snoop D-o-double-G.
Sorry
Anyway, there was also a lot of more classical vocalist guest stars that I thought were pretty impressive, and great additions to the songs.
Meh, to each his own I guess. But so far the Gorillaz have not let me down.

It may just be all the rap, but it just feels to me like they haven't tried so hard as they used to. It just feels a bit too poorly strung together.
It was a bit too hip-hop for my taste as well, and i usually like hip-hop. Seemed like alot of filler tracks. I'll have to listen to it again.
None

I've listened to it a good 5 times now, and it gets better every time.
To Binge, Rhinestone Eyes, and Superfast Jellyfish are the ones that stick out the most for me.
