Help mixing to animations

I am working on making a video of Ken and Ryu from street fighter dual it out and so far it look great i just got to fix somethings and other stuff but the propblem is that i have to different clips that adavance each action sequence and i have know clue how to do that.

Not to be an ass, but this is the animation forum. I'm sure someone would be more than happy to help you if you posted an example of your animation because as it stands, your description really doesn't make much sense
