I've been informed that I should learn anatomy to make animating easier. So I started with the arm.Since I have most trouble with arm proportion and definition. Here you go.

Why don't you draw more than one arm on each page? And why don't you post them all at once instead of posting one drawing per post?

That aside, they're looking pretty good! Just make sure you're not copying the arms but actually trying to understand them.

It's great that you're practicing and doing studies, keep it up! These help very much so in the long run. And don't only draw the muscles from an image, start learning where all the muscles are so you can draw an arm in any position from memory.

It looks like you're trying to copy the lines of the original drawings, but instead try and feel the forms and the volumes of what you're drawing, as if you're sculpting your image with each pencil stroke.

"Animation is not the art of drawings that move, but the art of movements that are drawn." -Norman McLaren

I can tell that you're using this website
http://www.anatomyplz.com/armsnlegs.php

and it seems like you're trying really hard to copy it. A good tactic is to look at it for a few minutes/moments and then minimize and try to draw from memory. Then glance back at it for a few moments and draw some more. It may be difficult at first, but it helps loads.

You need to give yourself a smaller building block first in my opinion. You're too busy looking at individual muscle and have ended up neglected the overall shape of the arm. I suggest starting off using poly karbons guide to concept art. It helps alot of users understand alot.

The Male Tutorial Can be found here:
http://polykarbon.com/tutorials/body/mal e/stick.htm

However the tutorials are all here:

Good Luck. :)
