Down here, we have to make up the days that snow made us miss. I hope it isn't the same for you.
We got a couple inches last night - enough to make the roads and public transportation incredibly slow and perilous this morning.
And yet my class today wasn't canceled. Rather, I had to undergo a 2 hour commute (usually 45 minutes) for a 2 hour class, then turn around and head back home again to shovel myself out yet again.
God I'm loving this winter.
In Massachusetts, we either get a lot of snow or a lot of rain.
Yesterday it downpoured from 11 am to sometime early this morning.
There was no electricity to power my alarm clock so I almost missed school.

I didn't "technically" have school today. I mean I went, but every Friday we have this thing called community day. This is the time where we do whatever we want and goof off with our friends. It's not even a required school day, so I don't have to go. But why would I pass up that opportunity?

Well, where I am in the UK, we never get enough snow to get a good amount of time off of school anyway, except for one freak-week last year, only like, an inch, if that. That what I get for being in one of the places that is close to being as far from the sea that you can get in England.

No, and I actually prefer school than home because I have nothing to do at home but stick onto the computer and play video games all day. I don't think that's fun like what it used to be.

Well we've had maybe 5 snow days but they're being all pissy about making them up...they've taken away pretty much any other day off for the rest of the year and still want us to come extra days at the end?
