However, if newgrounds hosts an advert linking to, or if the advert itself is merely redirected from that site. Then there can easily be a problem, if you get what I mean?

I dunno, Chrome has never done that to me, that's odd indeed.
That happened to me once. I just refreshed and it went away. As someone said previously, it's probably the ads that are triggering that.
