*COUGH COUGH IT SUCKS BALLS COUGH COUGH*
Well, you've shown willingness to start, and that's all that you need. (Aside from a willingness to continue)
First off, start with the human body. You REALLY need to practice drawing it, ether realistically, or comically. With comical effects, you don't need to pay that much to detail at all, just as long as it looks human, so go with that.
When you learn how to draw the human body in your own style, then you'll find your walk cycles, or any animations you do, skyrocket in quality.

Ok I have a question, should I check out a book on Anatomy?Because I think that would work. And how would i learn to draw the human body?

A book on anatomy would probably help, however drawing from life is a great tactic too. You can take a sketchbook to someplace public where people hang out and draw them, or you can take a life-drawing class. Hell, even looking at regular pictures of humans and just trying to draw them will help. Just keep drawing people and you'll get better at it.
Most importantly, do some research in walk cycles. There's loads!
What you really want to do is use a guide like the one above. Your character is only taking one step, so that isn't really a "cycle." In a cycle, the character should move up and down, but not forward, as though he is on an invisible treadmill. That will help you loop the cycle better. But you clearly put effort into this, so don't put yourself down.
This site can help you with human anatomy.
