I have been drawing stuff on paper like random things that goes thru my twisted head. Now when "internet" I went to youtube and I found the most intresting films from eddsworld, lazypillow etc
And ive decided to make my own set of cartoons hoping to entertain someone. So I got flash and a running computer to work with. Heres my questions and what not
Umm I need some help with the frames stuff. I saw a few walking cartoon tutorial so I know the basics almost.
The thing I have trouble with is the frames and keyframes and all that stuff to make something more enjoyable than just walking. Im gonna do a opening for my cartoons since it doesnt have to be long.
What I really need help with is the frame part. For my opening I littarly want a vicious cookie and hes eyes going to glow red and make a little dance or doing something with his hands then Vicious Cookie is gonna pop up in some funky font. So how do I set up the frames and stuff? There do not seem to be any tutorials for that *rubs head*
Hope you didnt fall asleep :3
Love,
Kris
Its tough to say exactly how things should be set up, since that description has multiple things going on and no indication of the amount of detail that you want to go into. That being said, I'd recommend drawing your cookie and putting his limbs and the different elements on his face on different layers. To get the glowing effect with his eyes, you should mess around with gradients and probably alpha values. You can tween a gradient, just as long as its from one gradient to another, so start with a white gradient and then have a second keyframe however far along on your timeline you want it with some more red in it. If you want a glowy halo, that's where the alpha values come in, and make sure the gradient is larger than the eyes.
Your best bet though is to experiment and figure it out on your own. I'm not quite sure what you're asking about setting up frames, so I hope this helps.

Thank you so much :D Well what I meant is I dont know how to use the frames regular since there are so many things, I just wanna Have a bunch of frames and adjust the character every frame :3 Not using the bonetool and whatnot

To be honest, I kinda skimmed through your first post so I dunno much of what you already do know about flash, but basically you put on onion skinning.
The one to the leftis the one you want. Anyway, put that on. Then delete, lets say, an arm. You can see a ghost of the arm. It wont show up in the final product, it is just there as a guide to help you. Hope that helped, though again I dunno if you knew that already :P

Nope, didnt know so thanks :D Hope I can express myself correct now lol (Im Swedish so..lol) Anyways there is a bunch of squares wich I think is called frames in the timeline. So are you supposed to enter a keyframe and draw the new thing and so on and so on? Hope im not too tricky to deal with lol
And no, im not a smug guy who likes to smell my farts.
Now I know how it works :3 Tho I bumped into a problem, I wanted to do a classic tween to make the mouth open huge but when I do the classes tween from frame 1 to 15 the starter fram (a regular line mouth) just traveks to the middle and then the mouth pops right open, I wanted the mouth to pop open slower without the line mouth to move downstairs
Hope that made sence lol
Sorry for dubble post but I couldnt edit the last one lol.
I figured it out how to do lol
Now I have 1 pitty problem before upload
How do you make it slower without lowering the FPS cuz if I do that it will look wierd because the whole thing is like 8 frames lol
What do you mean with slower?
If your character is walking not so fast you just give his animation more frames. You can also make single keyframes last longer by hitting F5 and giving it more frames.

Here it is :D What I wanted is to make the open mouth and turning it into red eyes longer, does that mean I have to get my lazy ass and add more frames to it?
Haha, you should probably export it as an swf file, then upload it. It shows instead of you having to download it to see it. I don't have CS4 so I cannot open it! I only have CS3!
