this is what I've been working on for the past week or so after purchasing my bamboo and "the animator's survival kit". its nice reaquainting with flash again.
as far as polishing goes, what I have on my agenda after completing it all is redoing the walk cycle from a stick figure to a full figure and maybe correct a few lines here and there. as for the whole roughness, it's probably going to stay.
any and all feedback is appreciated.
also, does anyone know any good websites with sound effects they'd like to share? thanks!
Showed some potential.
I do feel like certain parts seemed to drag on a little longer than needed. Mind you that may be what you're going for, it's hard to tell if that would work this early in the animation. To me though, I just wanted you to get on with it...
You could fix this up by adding a little more character to your "Green Guy". A little more body language wouldn't hurt I feel. An example would be when the guy is throwing his soda can in the air, the repetition in the cycle is painfully obvious. Have the guy look around or throw it in a different way each time, even if it's only slightly changed. It would be better than to watch the same thing twice over.
I'm not sure how legitimate my advice is, but as a viewer I would want a little more excitement. I think this could be done by giving your green guy a little more character, as for now he seems a little bland.
