I'm gonna resolve to post more replies to peoples work I think, cause I know how frustrating it is to post something and get little feedback.
Does any agree with me and want to join my crusade?
nobody goes there anymore. its too popular.
I'll avoid the obvious mentioning of the rules and respond to your statement before this gets locked.
It's true that many things go uncommented on, but does everything need to be commented on? We comment on what we see fit to comment on. This isn't DeviantArt, where you can get 20 comments on a shitty 5 minute picture that you drew in MS Paint. We don't comment unless we have to, due to obvious flaws in the piece or obvious stealing/tracing. If we don't have to comment, we comment when we want to, maybe with a bit of useful advice or something like "I really like this". If you want a lot of comments, get really good at art, 'nuff said.
There have been times in people's art threads where I've seen pages go by with the only posts being the artist. But do we post for the comments? No, we post just to share our art. Whether the comment about it in the thread or not, the fact that we got the art out is good enough.

:O Oh probably should have ckecked the rules.
I sort of agree with you in a way. But it's not only the bad art that seems to get little response, the CHOW threads have few participants for example.
I just get a sort of cold impression from the art forum here. To me, it feels sort of like an old country club. All the regulars get the comfy seats in the plush armchairs while new comers sit and look on longingly. This is probably just because i'm new, but still : /
I don't mean this in a whingy way, more a sort of, hmmm.

The CHOWs were really big in the past, but they disappeared with the leaving of SmilingIdiot. Ashman only recently took up the mantle and decided to re-start the CHOWs.
While you are right about the fact of being new, it's all variable. Sometimes a newcomer shows up and they get lots of responses on their work, other times it seems like nobody visits their thread.
Just keep pumping out art and you'll get comments with time.
I wouldn't mind seeing this shifted to the art forum lounge; I think it's a decent subject to bring up.
