What do you think of this idea, NG?

Ok, well, I've decided to gauge the general feeling of NG towards the latest idea posed by the head of a collab I'm on.

So, our animator walked out on us. This isn't good, but the project lead, RED-X, has proposed we continue with a new idea; a comic book rendered in Flash. I'll be doing the art, with my colorist making it look good, and we envision things like scrolling text, and flipping pages, to liven it up. Of course, we'll be throwing in little bonuses, like a character design gallery, and staff bios, plus Easter eggs. Hell, we'd put medals in if we could. It's not much, but without an animator, it's really all we got.

So, what do you think, Newgrounders? Would this fly? Would you be interested? Any ideas to change it or liven it up are cool, but I'm just trying to get a feel on how well this idea would be recieved...

It'd definitely be interesting to see - and original concept, too... a graphic novel collab. I do like that idea. What sound would you be using? A full song or just small sound effects?

As long as the actual content is good, I personally would love it. I reckon a lot of Newgrounders would, to be honest, and if they don't they don't, it's a heck of an idea nonetheless.

You know, I'm not sure. Both could work, but it's up to RED. I'm just the artist.

Well, I've seen the script, and it isn't THAT bad. My concern is how well I can actually draw a comic.

I'm undecided. The idea seems fair enough though, not sure if this has been done before, but if I were you i'd have a poke around on the net to see if theres any previous attempts at this and learn from it.

Would there e a drawing per page or would the camera scan across the page from box to box?

Would there be any double page spread equivalents, cause there usually my favorite pats in comics.

I'm curious and i'll check back at this thread later for any developments.

Hm, that's a good question. Probably the latter, since we can put in cool effects that way. :3
