But I've never taken an AP class. Will that affect my college application? I plan on taking 3 or so next year.
Pretty much, do colleges focus a lot on AP classes in your own experience?
Colleges like seeing APs only if you can handle the workload. They'd rather have the guy who got a C in a regular class than who got an F in an AP class. Also, don't sign up for any History/English APs unless you love the subject, as they have the most workload of all and give you the most stress.
From what I know colleges say they look at how many AP classes were offered at a school and how many the student took advantage of. For example, if there was a kid who never took AP classes and his school offered them applying to the same college a kid who had the same grades and who took advantage of those classes, they would take the guy who took the AP classes.
Unfortunately, I'll be without AP classes if the budget keeps getting lower to fix the state debt for other shit. We're talking no AP classes, 1-2 languages for 2 periods per day, 6 periods for everyone (no exceptions), and no clubs. Not that I care about clubs, but AP classes would be nice.
