Depends on their age and how they broke it. Possibly have them pay a bit for the repair or replacement. But chances are it was an accident, so no need to be mean to them.

My brother knows better than to touch my important stuff without permission. But if he did break my laptop, he would probably offer to at least help pay for a new one, so I probably wouldn't get unreasonably mad. And even if I did get unreasonably mad, the worst I would do is yell at him and then get in trouble for it.

By accident? If it was an honest accident I wouldn't do anything. If it was a stupid accident I would be annoyed and might tell them to smarten up, but nothing other than that.
