ha that's like mine.

If you don't bother putting the frame of it travelling it across the screen and instead just have it appearing at the wall wobbling it gives the effect it's travelling a lot faster

Yeah i got the idea from you :3. but i like having it stretch across the screen, looks more realistic imo.

I don't know about that. For your animation I couldn't tell the arrow had been fired at the wall. It looked more like it had just appeared there.
With this animation here I can tell the arrow is coming in from the left.

If there is no actual displacement on-screen it may be very hard to give the impression of movement.

I in fact agree with you to a certain extent, I believe the first time look at it it works the second time I looks like it's appearing becuse you've seen the reaction once

Yeah, it works in a loop, but unless there is more than one arrow being fired at a wall in an actual movie...

On topic, I think it looks pretty good. If I could say anything, it's that the tip of the arrow, when it first appears, probably only needs one frame instead of two. It looks like it's easing into the wall right now.

Ah I've done this test before and I also found out that it does look better with a stretched frame than having it simply appear, It's one of the times I disagree with Williams.

Although, if you're stretching the arrow longways, it's width is going to get thinner.

Stretching and squishing are common techniques in animating, But one rule is.... They dont work with lines...
That is called skewing.

its pretty good, but to me it looks like the arrow is just really big at the start.
I know what you were going for though. maybe try making it not as long and skewing it or something.
But you don't have to listen to me cos I probably don't know what im talking about.

Oh well if you're not an animator i won't take your criticism.....JK i actually want criticism from non animators.
