Meh, I don't think they take up as much as the 'talent'- and fashion shows.

I'm just praying girls don't take those fashion/makeover shows seriously. I remember last weekend I saw this show that really started to concern me. It was called Millionaire Matchmaker or something, where girls are getting makeovers and getting 'trained' to hook up with a rich guy. Getting lectured stuff like: 'If you want to hook up with a doctor, hang around the hospital. If you want a lawyer, hang around the court'.

It reminded me very much of that South Park episode where Kenny was in this Home Economics class, and where the girls were getting thought similar things. I can hardly believe it's actually happening in reality.

Then of course there are also those other bullshit shows which continuously preach that dying your hair, wearing fancy clothes and putting on thick layers of make-up will make women feel confident about themselves. I really, really hope no girl believes this crap, but I'm afraid there are many out there who do.

My family owns a few television sets but we have no channels since we don't watch a lot of television shows anymore. Instead, we watch movies, television shows on DVD and play videogames on it.

Before my family cancelled our subscription, those were the only shows I would watch. I'm just a sucker for satire comedy.

I have to agree with you on that. What I'm worried about is shows like "My Super Sweet 16" where we have spoiled materialistic brats getting more than what my entire family can afford and still complain how it's not the right type. Young girls would get the wrong idea of how to throw a good birthday party.

My 18th birthday is in ten days and all I asked for was a can of Coca-Cola, a slice of carrot cake, a DVD and a movie at the theatres. Those four would make me a lot happier than those brats.

Haha, I remember that episode and I'm not surprised. I remember a television show where they get a whole bunch of girls to date a supposed millionaire and in the end it is revealed that the guy was not rich and it would show which girls loved him anyways or just walked out after finding out that their gold-digging antics was a waste. Quite funny actually.
