She was told by a deranged man pan-handling on the street that her face gave him cause for great upset. Her gargantuous gait faltered a moment's notice, but walked on by none the less and the man took offence.

Rising he followed in her wake, her morbid obesity clearing a strip of pedestrians behind her. Jowls sloshing side to side and with a pig-headed smile, she blubbered onward, oblivious to her pursuer, burying his comment deep in her rolls.

When she passed Hollow Street the crowded pavement thinned, and when the overcast sky let out some rain, even fewer people were milling about. No one was looking as it's not polite to state, and a fat lady was pulled into an alley way and never heard from again. The cops put out posters and her picture was circulated.

How do you lose someone that big? People would ask laughing. Because they don't care about these people, unless they know them by blood. Under the cloak of anonymity, and with the tactless crass of our disillusioned ranks on the net, we all laugh when a horrible thing happens to an unfortunate.

Terrible things happen, it's something we know we cannot change, so when these terrible things happen to someone of such unfortunate volume, or anyone of regrettable fortune, a little part of us is glad that it happened to someone who's life wasn't worth living anyway.

I'll be the guy laughing in hell.

This is yet another cause for my idea of a McCyanide burger to be introduced at McDonalds.
