What did you expect from NG?

When you first came to NG, what did you expect from it?

I expected it to be a normal site for flash games. Like ArmorGames or Kongregate.

But I was wrong, it had music, art, an active community and way more.
So what did you expect from it?

NG was the first flash site I had been to and was the only one for a long time so I expected what I got lol.

I expected another site to add to my list of 'FrEE FLAHS GAEMZ' sites, and this is exactly what I got for a good two or three years, until when I signed up, although it stayed exactly the same until the summer, when I started developing my own terrible Flash, thinking I was God's gift to Flash and spamming up the Flash forum then getting away with it because I was just that cute, and I sucked up to Luis extremely often. In the end, I came over to General - the place that I was to be addicted to. For at least five months I barely left my computer for a second, I was glued to the screen throughout the day. I decided that I wanted to become a member of the NGPD, so I strung together a few pages of half-decent posts and requested membership. I was let through, and over time being a member of the force pretty much turned around the way I use Newgrounds. It also got me into the Wi/Ht? forum, which is probably my favourite at the moment.

I honestly didn't expect much. Just a place to play games on.
I was pretty surprised to see how much the site had once I registered.

And then about a month later, there was the redesign which made NG even better.

I was like 10 or 11 when i first discovered flash and it was on flashplayer.com

After it changed to ugoplayer.com it kinda went down hill so I looked for a new flash website, this was the first result and it was tons better. Despite what my signup date says I've had a total of three accounts here and first started back in 2003.

This is my home and i will always stay here.

Newgrounds was actually the first website i came to for flash. I came for the movies not games..games just made it better. I didn't really care for the BBS till about a year after i signed up. I didn't really get on much the first year anyway.

Once i made it to the BBS i figured out quickly how immature people were..and to fit in you had to be immature to. Unless you're one of those people who fight the popularity and try to make being smart cool. I didn't know what the BBS would be like when i first signed up.

It was back in high school when I first saw newgrounds. Flash was becoming pretty popular, but I didn't know anything about newgrounds until a good friend of mine pointed me into the right direction. My friend has long since stopped coming here, but my first impression was surprise because I thought it looked pretty cool and I just stuck with it, this being around 05/06. I didn't get around to joining it until a few years later.
