Newbie Animator

I'm just learning how to animate and i was wondering what you guys think of this concept. It's going be a megaman-esque hero, and it's going to be a few episode series. I'm not only new to animation, i'm new to drawing also, so go easy.

This would be the hero:

I plan on doing this frame by frame, the character animation at least, and i was curious if anyone had any tips, or ideas that would help me out. :D

Also, if you have any idea for an enemy or something, please let me know.

Your characters lack sustanance or character whats their motivation ? backstory ? mood ? personality ? lifestyle ? outlook on life ? where are their key body features ? no i dont mean " yay roket lanchers and armor stuffz !!1!" i mean a body that represents who they are
