Well, as of a few minutes ago, the little meter that used to appear when I turned the volume up and down are now gone. It won't be long now before Bill Gates takes away the sound altogether.

I laugh at your sigs!
I haven't been getting these glitches most people are talking about. What exactly are they?

Windows fails altogether. Remember how Windows 7 is supposed to be what Vista was supposed to be? Here's what I've been dealing with all weekend:
"Windows Explorer has stopped working.
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem...
Windows Explorer is restarting..."
do something
"Windows Explorer has stopped working.
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem...
Windows Explorer is restarting..."
wait a few seconds, do something
"Windows Explorer has stopped working.
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem...
Windows Explorer is restarting..."
...etc.
I miss my Ubuntu system. If it weren't for the hardware issues I've been having in Linux, I wouldn't NEED Windows.

Vista was never supposed to be what Windows 7 was supposed to be.

That's happened before when Explorer crashes. I haven't had problems with 7 yet, though, but I hear there are a few people who have. I guess all computers have drawbacks, right? Less glitches on a Mac, but few games.
My 1,337th post (the second one I made in that topic).
Really? My Vista laptop was returned because I think the hardrive crashed, or something like that, I got a new Windows 7 laptop and I love it, haven't had any problems with it.

I have a Windows Vista and love it. I haven;t had any problems with it. Maybe a just got a lemon; a GOOD lemon.

My point being Windows 7 hasn't turned out to be much of an improvement.

Still... faster than Vista
I use vista all the time, and really, don't have any problems.
I used to have that problem as well. If you have a desktop, check to see if your speakers are plugged in. If you have a laptop, the volume bar should return the next time you turn your computer, I believe. That's how it worked with me. To be honest, I do want to get Windows 7 now, but I don't use my computer that much anymore, so it'd be pointless.
I have a Dell running on Vista with protection from Norton.
Do. Not. Want. To. Hear. Another. Goddamn. Word.

I know. I haven't had any problems yet.

Sunk to a new low......what you were assuming it was high class in the first place?
What I hate about microsoft is their shitty customer service. They outsource to India to Bob who is less understandable then a brick in a blender on full mix. I once got upset at this one guy and started eating a hamburger in spite.
I have 2 Vista computers (1 laptop and 1 desktop) and I have never had these problems everyone rips on Microsoft about. Never.
Also, Windows 7 is out, so problem solved. It takes only £50 to upgrade, which is great.

Currently running windows 7, didnt have really any issues with vista, but there was a big difference once i upgraded.
Sometimes the best solution is, simply, a swift kick in the ass.

sunk to a NEW low
how the hell does this mean he assumes it was a high class retard
I have Windows 7.
Let's just say that while it's simply a collection of faults, it could be worse. It could be a Mac.
This too will pass.
Memento mori
Someone please run a comparison check of 7 to XP.
XP is still so much better.

I have had windows 7 since August using a release candidate, I have not had a single issue. If everyone had those issues maybe it would be a problem, but it's just you.
Honestly, I have a lot of friends that use vista and none of us ever ran into the problems that everyone talks about. Vista work's fine, but an upgrade to Windows 7 couldn't hurt.
Have you ever considered that maybe it is the user, not the system?
So I got a Vista back in 2007... or whenever they came out. than my friend actually fixed it up pretty well, worked fine. But reently I had to get it fixed... unfortunately me and my old friend really don't hang out anymore so I sent it to some guy the next town over. And he re-vista'd it! What a douche-monkey!

revert to XP, it's the most reliable windows system by a long shot.

I have worked with 3 computer which seem relavent
Mine has XP on one hard drive, and Win7 on another
Dad's has Vista , XP and Win7... I don't know why its greedy.
My friends has Vista.
None of them have OS related problems, its not the tools, its how you use it... or break it in your case.
