short story

this is a background for a short story I'm thinking of working on. let me know what you think of it. ideas, suggestions, comments, and concerns, are all welcome ;).

November 2nd, 1904 passed as any other day did in that age. and although it was just a day, so many things were to change because of it. on that day a certain doctor, in a certain laboratory, experimenting with a certain species of plant unlocked a certain strain of mutagen. this mutagen would come to be known Static-Velushni, for its generic nature to never leave a host, even after death. the night the doctor discovered this new mutagen a mysterious fire burned down his laboratory, killing him and destroying all his work.

130 years passed, new advances were made in genetics, robotics, technology, and many other things. a new company bought a dumping ground in the UK, this company sought to use the land as a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. while the workers were digging out the area for the structure of the plant they hit a crevice, exposing a building. within an hour, they were all dead.

again this is just an idea im working with. will probably be a zombie story with a twist. (less mindless, more singular minded, like zerg from starcraft)
