My friend, I regret to inform you that this forum is not that of a book discussion thread. Though I am sure that there are a few non-specific threads that discuss what authors have inspired you as a writer, you are encouraged -- nay, forced -- to only start a topic with your own work. If then you want to discuss what authors have shaped you then go for it! However, I do expect that at some point a solid topic of "favorite authors" will be constructed -- but only time will tell.

I saw him there, he was great. He reads his poems with passion and he really enjoys it, he'd be a great actor.
