I have thought about this as a bit of a fun exercise for people on here aspiring to write. It will give people the ability to expand their personal scope on what they write and present some new challenges to writers.

Essentially the entire topic is one long story that is contributed by anyone who wishes to contribute.

It will be a fun little exercise and there is no telling where the story may go.

I have no specific rules for this little exercise in terms of how the story should go. Serious, funny, science fiction, fantasy, murder mystery, etc. I don't care just as long as you are serious and are ready to write.

There should be a few rules for this and I obviously can't enforce them, but I suggest if this happens that people ignore that person's said continuation of the story.

-Your addition to the story MUST be at least 5,000 characters. This prevents people coming in going, "Then everyone died. LOLZ The End." It also challenges you to think out something to write and make something that makes this story compelling. If you get somewhere close to 5,000 then I think that will be okay.
-Stay concise with the story. Actually read what everyone else posted before you create your addition. Everything goes to hell when all of a sudden there is a new plot line and suddenly there is a new character and story that came from nowhere.

Other than that, no rules.

I'm not going to type anything big, but I am going to start off the story and allow the next person to continue from there:

Once in a blue moon Jessica Daniels would come trouncing down the stairs and into the kitchen in a horrible mood. Her father, the "great" Mr. Daniels, would sip his coffee and just accept it as just being, "that time of the month." At one point Mr. Daniels made the mistake of insensitively attributing Jessica's feelings to PMS which lead to a verbal assault by both Jessica and his wife Mrs. Daniels, formerly Mrs. Carter as of 8 years ago. So Mr. Daniels would sit there silently in his seat sipping coffee and read The Daily Inquiry in hopes that his daughter's odd mood is not directed towards him.

The fact that Jessica was feeling particularly moody today had nothing to do with her menstrual cycle, which in fact, usually just causes her nothing more than mild cramps and the occasional headache. Her mood swing today could be attested to the fact that she ran into the more successful Amy Lambert yesterday at her job which has turned into the bane of her existence.

"Welcome to Allen's Steakhouse home of the famous 42oz challenge my name is Jessica and I'll be your server," Jessica said with a smile not noticing Amy sitting there in the booth.

"Jessica, wow, how are you doing?" Amy said almost squealing.

There, I gave you the tools and you continue the story. Can't wait to see what everyone writes!
