I got out of Magic for a while, but a friend of mine got into, so I'm taking him to a pre-release tourny this weekend and it'll be the first time I've plaid seriously in some time.
I was wondering if anyone on this site played anymore, or if the game had died yet.
I used to play, but now it's always Dungeons and Dragons.
Yeah, whatever.
PSN ID: REDSiN66
I used to play DuelMasters, don't know if that counts.
I still play just not for like three months. I used to have a horribly shitty green deck and then a while later I managed to get two decks (angels and demons) for the price of one. I was pretty beastly with the angel deck so i still have yet to check out the demons deck.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.
ScaryPicnic made me do it.My letterboxd.
I used to play yu-gi-oh (if thats how you fucking spell it)
I used to play Magic when I was a kid but nowadays none of my friends do anymore.
I see a few kids around town still playing it though.
Psychotropiaaaaaa!
Yu-Gi-Oh! is still the best card-game ever. I will teach it to my kids later.
Fuck yeah, I knew I wasnt the only one saving my money for this friday as opposed to spending it on Mass errection 2.

The tv series was good until cartoon network butchered it...
I use to play with a friend who had a buttload of magic cards, but I never did buy any myself. There's probably a handful of people who play it where I live.
But yes, I would tap that.

Careful, my wurm has poxwalk and if you leave your gemstone caverns unprotected I can't help it if he goes for the crown jewels.

Well its a Midnight tourney at PastTimes in Chicago so I suppose that counts as Saturday.
None the less I'll be heading over there with a few friends to draft into the early hours of the morning.

That's actually pretty cool, I've never heard of that. I'll be doing an 10am flight. Drafts don't generally start until well after 2pm out here.

You forgot the obligatory '!' at the end.

Do you mean skill games, like Jenga, or something else?
There is certainly an aspect of luck to Magic, and it is not as complicated as say, star wars, but it has a fairly high level of perplexity (more so before the recent rule changes) that allows for plenty opportunities where skill outwins luck. Knowing the timing rules is a huge part to playing magic in a skillful way, but most people can get along with out it.
