It would really help my self-esteem if you would stop kicking quite so much ass. Ya bastard.

A random study, still getting into this timelapse video stuff, so much so that i've based my final second year project on making a tutorial timelapse video. Right now progress is so so slow!

This is coming along great, can't wait to see it completed.

That turned out absolutely brilliant.

Thanks!
Its been a while since i posted a random page of my sketchbook, i just ordered an actual moleskine seeing as ive always used fake ones with really waxy paper. I hope its worth the £15 or something pounds for an A4 sketchbook.

The final project video, took a fair few hours. Ideally i would have liked to have hand coloured this piece with gouache glazes, however in order to make this video fit the brief and time constraints i decided to go with the photoshop option. Im still happy with the way this turned out.
Just started my first commission for a tattoo! Im kinda nervous cos Im on a tight deadline. New sketches on here soon.
New work i started between doing those tattoos, the doodle its based on is above.
Foreshortening hands and feet are my idea of hell! About an hour with no reference.

very damn cool; could use some more darks/contrast though

all of the above are hell, but really you pulled it off great with no major errors that are visible, may be some small problems but i cant pick them out because it looks too good as a whole

Ah, Id say the hand is too broad for the fingers
thanks for the feedback guys! Proportions are always hit and miss for me when it comes to perspective because as you can see i have a habit of exaggerating things to make the composition a bit more lively. Ive finished the drawing and its up in my gallery.

I think that's the Achilles' heel for most people. Getting proportions down is a real challenge in the beginning, but trying to get the proportions down in a skewed perspective just makes it a real pain in the ass. But I think you're doing a damn fine job at the moment.
wow, tha's some great art you have there! can't wait to see more:P
Honestly, there's too much WIN in here for me to really go over it all.
I have no interest in critiquing tiny little things that I barely notice, so...suffice to say...the work in here is great.
You have an obvious talent and fascination for human forms...something I have always sucked at.
I particularly like the "girl falling into a vortex".
Something about the shading and content in that one just really stands out to me.
I would like to see you illustrate some Lovecraftian-type story, because I think your style would fit it perfectly.
Thankyou for your comments! The purpose of these little sketchbooks are to spark ideas and keep things fresh. I mostly keep my work with concepts and compositional ideas on seperate pages to anatomy, this is so i can let my imagination flow more without nagging myself over correct details.
MY LITTLE A5 MOLESKINE. PART 4
MY LITTLE A5 MOLESKINE. PART 4
Those of you who know my work proccess, you will understand that this is one of my rough roughs. proportions, anatomy and shading need work, i am only focusing on composition and filtering my random ideas.
stunning
i love the feeling in your work, the lines and values just feel so rich too me
Thanks! I've recently made the switch from producing the total body of my work digitally to working on the foundations of my images in graphite. Ive also tried to hold back on polishing my images too much, Its definately pushed me forward in so many aspects of my drawing. By taking away digital aids, ive been able to appreciate small nuances that i didnt notice or understand before.
For me my digital work was starting to become too clinical, I was starting to prefer my rough draughts over my final stuff! Quick, off the cuff sketches will always have a lot more energy and character to them. This isnt to say i wont have more finished stuff up in my NG gallery soon.
Found this one lurking around on my mac, these are all 5-10 minute sketches that i did around London and then fitted together to make a collage. This was for a project at the beginning of last year.
Ive been feeling a bit nostalgic today and decided to look back over a lot of my old stuff. Since a lot of my work usually ends up getting lost amongst all the paper and materials i have in my room, i've scanned in backups which date all the way back to when i was 9 years old!
So i wondered if you guys were interested and had any requests as to see any of my really old crappy drawings from a certain age group? Ill be adding more moleskine stuff in the mean time.
Wow. your work stands out a lot. Especially your style. I like your indian drawing, especially because it looks like an actual indian painting. I love his expression, and the way you draw it gives a tribal feel to it. And the london sketches look magnificent. I sure love these, considering they are very good works indeed
Another sketch, i have the it finished but im not sure if i prefer the sketch or colour.
