4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsOKay, I am new to the Newgrounds art forum. For the most part anyways, I usually browse this forum as well as the new writing forum, this is my first post so you can all criticize my art. Here is some information you may find helpful when reviewing my crapart:
1. I made this drawing with the intention of it being scanned in and colorized using the computer. This isn't my best art, it was for practice purpose only.
2. I used illustrator CS3's live paint and live draw. I also Used Photoshop CS4.
3. I added the shades using the burn tool from Photoshop CS4. (Yeah, probably not the best, but it works considering I've never used Photoshop CS4 before)
4. I've NEVER scanned or recreated a drawing using the computer before. (Though I may if I can receive tips!)
[Please tell me what you think, provide constructive criticism, or just your overall thoughts. I'll take any comment even "I've seen better shit." I am not easily offended.]
M'kay, with that said, here is said art:

Its not too bad. The eyes look a bit wierd to me, and it appears that he has a line for a nose, there is no shading whatsoever there so there is no definition.

Ok. Ive never used illustrater to draw, but I do like how photoshop draws.

No, not the best, because the burn tool is very lazy and eventually will backfire on you. Your best bet is probably selecting the color with the picker and making it darker with the color selector. When you click on the box that shows your your selected color that will come up. And normally if there are shadows, there should be highlights of some sort, such as in the hair.

Not bad for a first try, simply keep doing it and you will improve over time.

Some of the people on this forum might beable to change that
Keep drawing, keep practicing, and maybe use some references for things such as shading. SHow us some of your other arts too, Even if they are not digitaly colored or finished.
This text is in bold, which makes me aweso and your statement irrelevant.
