That OR the Jaguar that controller is so fuckin huge and has so many useless buttons (aka the numeric pad). I've only played a Jaguar once but it was still enough to piss me off.
Also the N64 is kinda bad I mean the analog stick was bad and broke easily or got loose from games like Mario Party and the controller was awkwardly designed and kinda bulky with the C buttons being pretty useless in most games (although they were spot on for Zelda and FPS games). However the Rumble Pack was a great addition to the N64 controller and and N64 was fun to play so the controller din't really hold back any fun that the system was lacking from the controller.
The Xbox 1 controller was terrible indeed. Just way too big even for my big hands and the buttons were too far apart to make it a good gaming controller. The GameCube controller was a little weird sometimes for certain games.

Out of the ones I've seen used, it would be the Atari 5200 controller.
But out of the ones I actually own and used quite a bit, it would be the original Xbox controller. Way too bulky, and uncomfortable. Also, what the fuck was with the white and black buttons? It looked like they just stuck them there in the last minute. I'm glad in the 360 controller, they used bumpers instead of those two little extra buttons.

I personally think that it wouldn't be so bad if the analogue stick and the DPad switched places.

Seriously. Shit.
This controller starts to hurt my hands after a while, since I have to have my fingers at a weird angle to hold it correctly. I agree.

I believe it's a keyboard. I've seen it on Cracked before.

That was the controller you got if you bought the Sega Saturn packaged with Nights Into Dreams, I believe. The original Saturn controller was much more like the Genesis controller.
If you don't believe me here it is, the most uncomfortable controller ever made.
I mean seriously, who was this designed for??? and where's the second analog stick?

I can't remember the name but it was old and it had all these nobs, and buttons with numbers on them.
Ok, I found the second analog stick on the chainsaw, but look at where the triggers are. yYou have to have like three hands to hold it comfortably.

What the hell is that? I can't imagine where your left hand would even go.
how about an xbox controller made by Mad Catz?

How about anything made by Mad Catz?
Except those $150 Arcade Sticks. That's the only thing they have that's actually quality made.

It was nice and contoured, so there weren't any odd angles sticking into your hands. The only downside was that it was inherently unbalanced when using it in the usual position (Centre and Right grips) and the control stick wore out atfer a few years.
Once again we agree. I loved the N64 controller. Yeah it looks strange but it works perfectly if you're willing to give it a go rather than just dismiss it and moan something about there being 3 handles but you only have 2 hands.

And the left analog stick is still in the wrong damn place.
Looking back on it now, the Dreamcast had a bloody awful control pad, there was just so much unnecessary plastic filling up what could have been both an aesthetically good controller and a comfortable one too, the analogue was like a hard nipple and the D-pad was all stiff and chubby. The start button was a stupid triangle hidden directly at the bottom-middle, and I'm sure childish hands struggled to press it mid-game, the triggers were so springy as well it, not good for games that only require just the one pressing of the LT or RT, I drove myself insane listening to that spring go up and down.

I hate those so much.
WHY WOULDN'T YOU PUT THUMB GRIPS ON THE THUMBSTICKS? GOD GAVE US RUBBER FOR A REASON.
THEY DIDN'T EVEN USE TEXTURED PLASTIC, THAT SHIT'S SLICKER THAN THE CONTROLLER BODY ITSELF. FFUUUUUUUUUUUUU
That's the only major problem I've had with them, but I've only ever played with them, never owned one (so I'm not sure if they're particularly fragile). What makes me rage, though, is that the cost of adding roughly half a square inch of gripping to a design adds only a fraction of a penny to the production cost. They could bump them up from 24.99 to 25.99, maintain a similar profit margin, but see sales explode instantly. The only thing I like about them is that they don't have that shitty circular D-pad.
The Modern Warfare 2 branded controllers look pretty neat, but it seems like you're paying a $20 premium for two thumbstick backlights and that button that swaps between control layouts. Now, that little buttons a neat idea, but outside of PC gaming (where it's already an established concept), I really don't see it ever being used. I've never had an issue before (class based FPS's especially) of having two separate control set ups for two different classes. All I can think to use it for would be either if you; A) REALLY need that little boost of sensitivity for sniping, or B) you play pass the controller games with a guy who prefers inverted sights.
