Furlough days are a thing in America, primarily the West Coast where I am, where days of the school year are totally wiped out in the whole district in an attempt to save money by not paying teachers for those days. This year has four days less than last year. Many are placed in ideal spots to turn three day weekends into four day weekends.

I live in Canada and it's essentially the exact same thing as spring break.

For the past 24 hours, I've been looking for something very important...my tablet pen. I have concluded that it couldn't be anywhere in this house. It was likely knocked off it's little holder, onto the ground, when it was later sucked up by the vacuum, on trash day. This is the only probable scenario, and, if so, means that I won't ever see that damn thing again. It's little holder now sits in its usual spot mocking me.

"Oh well," I thought, "I'll just have to purchase another." I checked on Amazon.com, our usual place for things much cheeper than they should be, and found that the tablet pen for my tablet is 30$. Plus the normal, bollocks shipping expenses.
Am I missing something? It was a pen shaped piece of plastic with a special kind of plastic at its tip. 30 dollars?

I just don't believe this. I had the tablet for one month. Not even a summer or any kind of school break to get better acquainted with it. It was a gift from my hero, Tom Fulp. And I let him down. As well as myself and some of my good friends.

It's times like this when I marvel at how much God hates me. Maybe I shouldn't have gone Atheist. But if God were to discriminate on things like that, than he's certainly no God of mine. Fuck him. Socialist prick.

So, it could be a while until I can purchase a replacement pen. Until then, it's back to the mouse.

I spent a month turning the tablet into my universal flash tool. And hadn't even used the mouse in Flash any time in the last couple weeks. I wish I hadn't gotten so acquainted with it. Because the mouse sucks.

I doubt I can get out daily updates from here on out. I can finish this before deadline, by working my ass off in what little precious time I have left this weekend. I'm sorry guys. At least I've finished crying about it and worked up the strength to even continue. The show must go on, after all. See youse.

One time I left mine in my jacket pocket. I was thoroughly confused when it fell on the floor of the kitchen one day coming home from school. That must be one distracting vacuum too not notice sucking up a pen, or if you weren't the one who did the vacuuming I can imagine myself sucking random objects for laughs. did you look in the vacuum? objects that big shouldn't pass through into the trash bag. I know this because my mom found like 11 pennies in the tube once. oops lol. Anyway I can sympathize

gustavos, do you have a ds of any kind? you can test with the pen that comes with it, maybe it works
...aaaanyways, if you dont, you can test with a friends ds pen... if it does work, lots of stores like best buy, toys r us etc. have little packeges of 3 ds pens for about 5-10$...

Negative, the DS stylus does not work. If it did, that would have made my month. The tablet pen had some obscure kind of plastic for it's tip. Not just any plastic can work. Why would they do that? I would have included two tablet pens in the package. Instead, they gave me three replacement tips for the tablet pen, assuming that breaks off somehow. I tried using those tiny things which are an inch long, but even that doesn't work. What the hell is this? If I can find out how to contact the guys at Wacom, I would have a lot to say to them.

First, I'd call them a "mean company", and then I'd inch my way forward to "asshole".

Harsh stuff Gustavos... It might have fallen into a nearby vent? That's what normally happens to me.

Either that, or did you try looking inside your vacuum? It might still not be emptied after inhaling your pen?

Hello there. Sorry, had a genetics report to do but i'm finished. Am I too late to finish up the flash cause I'm about almost done with it.

When will it be released by the way?

I dunno. I'm too lazy to finish my last part (I will eventually though).

Man, the mouse is killing me. Here's a screenshot of the cannon I just made. Pretty meh, if you ask me. There's only one thing I still have to draw in this part, and that's Flaming Joe, and the sparks for when the fuse is lit. Both include fire, which I've never successfully made before in flash. And never got around to trying with a tablet.

If I can't find the tablet pen by the end of tomorrow, I'll have to purchase another. Hopefully I can get it either way before I finish this part. A real update from me will be coming tonight.

Shit. Yeah, this is my picture file fla. I didn't want to make a whole new file just to post a screenshot, so it went in there. This file is simply titled "Untitled" and I don't even remember a handful of the stuff that's in there.

Update.

My part is now 11 seconds long, and I consider it halfway done. The last update was only 3.6 seconds long. So, what do you guys think? Should I change anything before moving on? I have roughly five seconds of animation left to do before I have to start drawing again. And that'll be a bitch now that I'm tablet-less. But I totally think I can finish this before the 21st.
