I'm new to Newgrounds :D and this whole writing forum thingy so I'd guess I'd just put one of my pieces that Im happy with :D. So here it is...

Gifted

Ahh gifted, such a coveted title indeed. If only I was gifted, but that of course is impossible since G-d neglected to give me the gift of being gifted. So in turn I mustn't live the life of an intellectual, because I cannot understand or comprehend things to the extent that a gifted human can. I envy them o so.

I don't think its fair that we have a society with humans and gifted humans. Or, that we even associate the word "human" with gifted humans since they're on such a higher level then us they deserve a whole new word to describe there advancedness (advancedness is not a word, but it fits, and hey, it's not like I'm gifted). Perhaps in the future there'll be a community of only gifted people, and I shall bang on its gates everyday seeking entry.

Now I'd like to recall a small story of how I was blessed to engage gifted humans in conversation. It was an average day, and I saw a herd of gifted humans trying to solve a rubix cube. I myself know how to solve this complex puzzle, so I approached them, ready to boast my knowledge.

"Good 'morrow fellow students, I see you are fiddling with that rubix cube. Perhaps I can be of assistance."
"Perhaps," the leader of the group started, "but I doubt that you or any of your kind can prove useful at a task like this."
"Please my good friend, allow me to prove myself"

I took the rubix cube from its hands and began to solve it using algorithms that effectively return the cube to its solved state. After two minutes of intense twisting and turning, I finished the cube. I expected the gifted humans to be in awe, except they burst into laughter.

"Oh Jonathan, to think I took you seriously." The leader began to say.
"What do you mean, I solved it right in-front of you."
"Silence you incompetent fool. You have done nothing but apply your petty algorithms in an even pettier attempt to prove your worth to us gifted humans. How novice of you Jonathan, how novice of you indeed."

Such embarrassment fell upon me as I ran away from those intelligent beings of G-d. That night I slept in fear as I heard the gifted humans harsh words ringing in my ears as they still do now. I've never made eye contact or ever had a conversation with a gifted human since that day. I've found my place in society.

I will spare you my critic this time. I laughed out loud, mission accomplished.
Cheers.

I can't help but say I liked it. It's very well done.
