I just made up a random idea in my head which could be used for a game, my original concept would be using it for a lights (where you gotta turn all the lights on).

Basically it would begin with you being on a boat at sea and capsizing in a storm and you get amnesia in the process and you must journey through the sea based levels before you are able to make it to land. Then once on land you discover that your possesions which would help you regain your identity have been scattered through out the land and you have to complete the levels in each stage to retrieve them. I was thinking of Desert, Jungle, Mountains, Caves etc.

Basically change the theme of the level design between stages and increase the difficulty be adding to the number of lights that you have to turn on. Once you have regained all of your possesions and in turn your memory some extra levels will be revealed in each of the stages and then you have to go and complete those levels to gain materials so that you can build transport so that you are finally able to leave the island.

This sounds pretty nice, but would this take too long? Is the plot condensed enough to fit into a nice length-ed game?

Failure should push you until success can pull you.

I don't have the software to develop the games but I for some reason can pull hundreds of random ideas out of my head. If it looked like it would be too long you could always make it into different parts which contain a certain amount of levels each.
