True, I'm a local, and I can freely go in to whatever bar I choose. But they could call me out for being a anglophone and some bars might throw me out or not serve me lol.

Because I find myself in the lucky situation to have enough money to be able to afford a plane ticket out there, and because the trip itself is a lot of fun. I wouldn't have spent the money if I had doubts about that.

I didn't even break 200 when I went a few years ago. What's half a paycheck for a weekend of drunken fun somewhere you've not often been with people you'll not often see? The five hour drive was hardly a deterrent. I drove down to DC for a grand total of 18.5 hours worth of driving for a single weekend's fun.

It's not hard to find excuses for not going, but they're really just admissions that you're fearful or shy of meeting new people or trying new things. Not legitimate constraints.

I got a job today.

That means I can find out May 3rd whether or not getting time off is an option, so basically I'll know starting around May 5-6th whether or not I'll be able to make it.

I'm going to McMaster right now. I write my last exam Tuesday and I got a job on campus for the summer.
