The Scariest Games

Did a game make you want to piss your pants. did it make you scream and suprised you every second. did the enemys make you run in fear. Why was it so scary?

my top 3 scary games for me are:
1. Dead Space-Every enemy made me runaway and you never knew what to expect
2.Condemed 2- its setting creeps me out especially the weird part with the babys
3.Resident Evil 4-sometimes i run low on ammo and try to camp while protecting every window

Resident Evil lost it's scariness and horror when RE4 came out.

Sure, the first 50 enemies may have been scary, but eventually you just got used to them and all of the predictable methods of popping out.

The main scare in condemned was the blackness, and by that I mean the lighting. Theres many instances in the game where your getting attacked and you have no idea where from.

Silent Hill scared the crap out of me when i first played it. The only other game to scare me to such an extent, and worse, ever since, is Penumbra. Seriously frightening game. Sequel is even worse.

The only game I ever played that actually scared me, as in more than just made me jump once or twice, is The Suffering. The whole thing is just...disturbing.

Call of Cthulhu is legitimately terrifying for the first few levels, particularly the hotel sequence, because you're entirely unarmed, and have no way of fighting back, and no place to stop and hide as your pursuers are never far behind.

Then you get the rifle and the whole game becomes a piece of piss.
