We have weapons that can shatter bullet-proof vests, grenades launched from rockets that explode on impact, weapons that can level a city without the gunman even being there.
So what's next? How can we better our weapons? Perhaps a chainsaw gun? (Not the GOW style one that literally fires chainsaws!) Or a Flamethrower/Sniper.

Actually if you mean Ray Guns, no just no.
If a criminal has a regular gun and shoots somebody then they can tell who committed the crime by the bullet, ray guns would just leave a burning hole.

but seriously, we already have laser weapon technology, and are installing it on our satalites as we speak. not OUR satalites, but u know, the US governments.. within 10 years they should be ready. Of course they aren't death star style, but close enough
