Calling all graphic novel lovers! Get your pens at the ready!

WHAT IS THIS?

I, ThoseSwellNachos, am organising an art collab celebrating the single greatest piece of fiction ever created: Watchmen, written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons.

It will be released upon the Flash Portal in the form of a flash slideshow.

CONCEPT

Each art submission must a character featuring in the Watchmen. You can use any type of art you want (not just traditional comic book style), but it must be faithful to the comic book (i.e. not the film).
Examples of Characters:
Nite Owl II
Rorschach
Dr. Manhattan
Silk Spectre II
The Comedian
Ozymandias
Bubastis
The two Bernies
Giant tentacle monster

Artists can use a character more than once, but please ask if you want to use a character, because I don't want to end up with 30 Rorschachs and no Comedians. And ask if you want to use a different character than the examples list.

I will be in charge of making the Watchmen-themed slideshow, but if anyone else wants to make one, feel free, but tell me.

RULES

- Image must be scaled to fit in a box sized 550 px by 400 px.
- Send your file as one of the following: .PNG, .FLA, JPEG (High Quality JPEGs only). .FLA is preferable.
- To give your art you must post the link to the completed image.
- Nudity/violence is allowed.
- Co-authors will be selected on completion of the collab.
- Feel free to upload works in progress over the course of the collab.

I expect maximum participation from my fellow Newgrounders, so state your want to contribute straight away by posting in this thread.

note - please do not use my past flash submissions as a portfolio of how good my art is. here is something I am working on currently for the collab (bare in mind it's a work in progress) -

Oh dear, sorry, I followed the collab rules, I thought that was enough. It seems this collab is doomed already. Would it be too late to send a PM?

Actually, you don't have the required batting average. That's a main reason why you need a mod's approval.

It seems this collab is doomed already. Would it be too late to send a PM?

while youre at it, you might want to finish your image first. that leaves a better impression, and poeple will be more likely to join.

A Good rule of thumb:

If the text describing the conditions and rules of the collab took longer than the image it is sampled with.

Then we probably wont care.
