How should I paint my light switch? 2010-01-19 11:10:14 Reply

Okay, so I got 3 acrylic spray paint cans. 1 black, 1 gold & 1 silver. I can only stencil with tape & paper. What should I add to this?

How the fuck am I going to do that with Black, Gold, Silver cans & tape!?
I agree wit the gold switch though. I might have to take it apart but I was planning to anyway. Problem is that when it's drying I'll have to use my lamp for light. I might be able to do electric effects on the wall around the switch.

You asked, I answered.
If you really want it to be decorative, you should just buy some more cans. or just do it Black&White (Gold & Silver really ...)

It could be nice, I'm just brainstorming anyways

I don't see the problem. Use the lamp for about an hour, or just leave the house alone for a couple of hours, and It'll be dry when you return.

I might be able to do electric effects on the wall around the switch.

That would be cool, just make sure it matches the lightswitch

Everyone of those suggestions is easily doable with stencils that you can easily make with the supplies you have.

I say stick with the tradition of NG themed stuff for these kinds of projects and do the NG tank

By thinking things through and planning them out.
Besides, just because when you think of say water, doesn't mean that it has to be blue. Think outside the box and stop being a asshole.
Say you want to do the bubbles. Well, cover the whole thing in tape, then cut circles out and spraypaint those. Voila, you got yourself some bubbles.

Well, it does take a while for this paint to settle. But that's cool either way. It's just 1 out of the two lights at my disposal.

A box? :S

Actually, giving it a second look I suppose I could.

Nah, nah. It needs originality.

I suppose I could cut petals...

Actually, you're right. I didn't really pay enough attention.

That could work... If I repaint my room I'll keep that are the way it is.
