Well, their is a legitimate chat somewhere. But the maker is having some server trouble. He just made a chat as simple as possible. I think the reason why the official NG Chat says it just needs a few "finishing touches" is so that nobody makes a fan made chat because the conspiracy is that they don't want a chat system.

Administrators, if I'm right then please say so & dignify my theory. Thankyou. :)

Each post comes exactly a certain amount of seconds after the other. There's no way to register your username onto that chat. They just took familiar names from the BBS and had them post stupid shit.

There are several real flash-based chat rooms that were uploaded into the portal. You can use them, but most of the time they're just empty. Hopefully, the real chat room will be up soon because we've been waiting for it for nearly three years now.
