So this is how revenue sharing works. You do a post on you're page or a flash. And you get money from the ads that are on the page for that?

Since this is already a topic, I actually have my own question relating to revenue sharing. After registering, can we get sued or something like that if we use "copyrighted" music or images?

I wonder about this I know that companies are still brutal about copyright even when it abides by fair use laws.

How about making an original composition instead. You can't generate revenue from the art portal at this time. But stolen pictures/music would not even make it past approval. You'd be banned.

Technically yes according to the Legal Section. You are responsible for anything that you submit and NG will have nothing to do with if/when you get sued. Though in reality it doesn't usually happen too much here at NG, but the the Admins will remove your stuff by request of the original authors. I remember one time several years ago, where all the Lego based flashes were remove because the Lego company wanted them off.

Of course there is always the Audio Portal if you even need some music.

I'm not talking about the art portal, I'm talking about the flash portal. I made my first flash a few weeks ago and it features some non-original music and a clip of Rick Astley for a brief Rickroll (Not of the viewers but of the character).

Could I be sued on the content in this flash of mine? I believe it falls under fair use laws.
