I have a questions about using the fill or paint bucket tool in photoshop. For some reason, whenever I use them, it fills the section I want but there's an untouched outline of the section separating the line and the fill. Is there any way I can make it fill the whole section and not have the line and color separated?

You're not working from a jpeg are you? I've done that in the past :S
Its because the bucket doesn't fill in all the way when you use the brush to draw, I think it has something to do with feathering. If you draw with the pencil it will fill it in all the way.

Thanks that helps. Still, is there a way to have the threshold function use the pencil tool? I'm using the photoshop for an art piece right now and seeing as I'm having that problem, I'm guessing the threshold I used took settings from the paint tool. Is there anyway to fix this or redo it with the pencil functions on the threshold?

- Make sure the 'Anti-Aliasing' option is ticked on for the bucket tool.
- Have the tolerance at reasonable level. 30 should be perfectly doable.
- if you're filling in linework, duplicate the layer and set the top layer to 'Multiply', rather than normal. Paint in the layer below.

Yeah, it's kinda lame. But if you did post, a decent reg would easily answer your question, and redirect you to the Art forum tech Support thread. Only the idiots bite your hand off.

The Anti-Alias and Tolerance doesn't seem to work for me. For some reason, it looks fine when it's zoomed in but when I take a look at the overall picture the outlines/spaces are there. Can anyone help me here or at least explain why the spaces are there?
Also, could someone explain what TurkeyOnAStick about the linework? I understand what he means about duplicating and setting it to multiply but what exactly does that do?

No idea, then. Make another post in the Art Forum Tech support, since it's an art related question.

Put simply, makes white transparent, whilst black remains fully opaque.
So if you paint underneath a Multiply Layer, colours in the white bits, whilst black bits remain untampered.
Best way to understand is to try it yourself.
