Invader Zim

I like a lot of people used to enjoy invader zim, I am wondering if there are any other people here who are sad about it's disappearance of the face of the earth. Zim became a cult classic in no time and was only canceled because of meddling by higher up in nick. Show your support, buy the dvds, itune and other such things and maybe, just maybe we might get zim back!

I loved it so much, but such an awesome show was destined to fail on nickelodeon

That's how I got to bond with my now best friend in college. We just watched Invader Zim together the first month of freshman year, and occasionally have marathons of watching the entire series in one go.

Johan is one fucked up guy though, I still don't understand how Nickelodeon could have ever considered broadcasting his show. You think they'd look at his comics BEFORE signing him up to their channel, not half-way through the god damned series. Least they could have done is let him finish the season I suppose.

I just wish Nick would stop being such Jews and fork the rights to Zim over to Adult Swim or Comedy Central; both of which have made attempts to get the show.

I heard that the creator was high with LSD when he came up with the idea.

Also after lurking a while back (less than one week ago) I found that people are actually petitioning the show to be on adult swim.

Not in this case. He makes enough off his comics. Besides, Nick did earn some of the money. Sucks that he got shafted by Viacom. But i did support him by buying the collected editions of JTHM and SQUEE! I would totally but "I Feel Sick" if i could just find it.

No. They pulled it because it was more mature compared to other Nick Shows (Far more, actually)

See, thing of that is, most of the fan base is over 14. You seem to forget that most of the characters are meant to be extremely stupid and bizzare. Jhonen's always been doing deep stuff (JTHM, Mostly the later issues) kids were not going to respond to totally deep stuff, especially when mixed with Jhonen's style. It would prove distracting. Invader Zim is bascially dumbed-down and more light-hearted then anything's Jhonen's done before.
