i didn't have suicidal thoughts but i know how these people felt, when i left the theater after seeing Avatar for the first time, i just looked at everything in the world with a new disgust, since it wasn't anywhere near a beautiful as Pandora(or any fantasy world at that)

Maybe it causes depression cause you're not allowed to toke up in the movie theatre.

But just wait til it comes out on DVD. I'm having a pot and movie party

This reminds me of those people who killed themselves over the fake 2012 website that promised fallout shelters for whoever won a certain draw. It looks like there have been a lot of movie related suicides. It also looks like society has gotten extremely stupid.

This is interesting, because I did actually feel sad after watching that movie, because I wanted to go to that amazing utopia (didn't realise why at the time).

It does transport you to this amazing world, full of excitement and magic, with a beautiful spiritual society in which there is a lack of unhappiness.

It was sad that we had to leave the theatre back to our shit world which compares in comparison.

Though I wouldn't say it would drive me to suicide, and none of us know enough about the cases to make an accurate judgement on it. But obvoiusly the film wouldn't be the only cause of their depression/suicide, but more the last onslaught on their defenses.
