I see what you are trying to do here, but I think you have way too much going on and you'll get lost.
You need to simplify your sketching, it'll make it easier when you go to lay in detail.

Both parts of the right arm need to be a little longer, and the left thigh needs to be slightly longer.

yes it is gradient. the bright light is supposed to be a lighting light or something... i don't know, just wanted it there. is this better?
This is a fast sketch I don't think i'm going to continue on this, but it would be nice with some commments on anything wrong.

it looks like a little kids head on a roidmonkeys body, plus tone down the line thickness, you want thinner outlines

yeah maybe I will fix his stomach JUST maybe, and i suck at drawing feet so I wanted to avoid drawing them^^
although it's an unfinished piece, I would say getting the basic colors are important.
The blue color is too saturated in my opinion.
decrease the saturation, and it'll look much better!

Pretty simple. Add some shading.
that head is a bit squashed like its been flattened a bit, plus needs some shading
some update on the drawing. I have drawn some shading on the face and made the background, but I am still not done.

i had to compare to see what you had added, shading on the hair, to be honest theres nothing i can say that hasnt been said, the head is too squashed as in its not tall enough, so focus on that next time, and work on improving your colouring/shading
