Gta Sa Save Game Location?

I just reinstalled GTA SA,and I forgot to make a backup of my previous save game.So I downloaded a save game at the exact position I was at before the reinstall,and am having difficulties finding where to put the save.I googled it,and most people say Documents-->GTA SA User data.I tried this,but it has not worked.Any help?

Try one of the Grand Theft Auto mod sites. They're bound to have a tutorial on how to add game saves to the PC version of the game. I only know of GTAGarage, but there are Grand Theft Auto forums, such as iGrandTheftAuto and GTAForums. Also, try looking on YouTube as well.

I found where.Apparently,when you install the game in the C drive,the saves are in the user files folder(which is what every website I looked at said).I installed in the D drive,so the save files where just dumped in the game's root folder.
