Best Music Software? 2010-01-07 12:30:51 Reply

Hey all!

I have been listeneing to all the top audio on the NG portal. I have made a few bits of audio. Unfortunately, none of them have had much success. My highest of the 4 is just over 1/5.

Now, I use Magix Music Maker 15, and the stuff that the top audio artists use is, well... I dont really know...

Please someone give me a link to some free good music makers!

There is no best, it's personal preference. And stop using Magix, before you get banned.

I wouldn't touch free audio software with a 10-foot pole.

If you must, download a cracked version of something. Once you get comfortable with it, buy it. I used Reason illegally for years before finally purchasing it and feeling a bit better about myself. ;)

The quality's just not there in free programs.

The majority of users here on NG use Fruity Loops.

Thanks for giving me some advice.

Why would NG ban me for using Magix Music Maker? I bought it legally and plus, it was the first thing I used to make music and submit it (also I put MMM15 in the description, I still got access to submitting audio)

Because the majority of stuff that comes from "artists" using Magix throw a bunch of premade loops together, upload it, and call it theirs.

I'm too lazy to check your songs, but I'm guessing if you're using Magix, you are using premade loops... cause from my understanding, it's not good for much else.

It's inherently evil, made by the Demons of Scotland.

Or the fact that its nothing but premade loops. I forget which it is.

There is no " ultimate music software " because some people could see this software as the best of all, but others could not like it.

For Example :

I Love to use Propellerheads' Reason 4 , because it has great synthetizers and it's pretty simple to use, but i got a friend that says that reason 4 is too complicated and he prefers to use Fruity Loops.

Some people have told me that Ableton live is great software.

So It's up to you on what are your preferences on choosing software, but it's good to ask people for suggestions.

well, his stuff doesn't sound like the premade loops i've heard from Magix, but i don't know anything about MM15, since 14 was bullshit. also, MMM does have synths and VSTs, it's not entirely pre-made loops. although, as a former Magix user, my opinion is that it's a shit program, and i'd stay as far from it as possible. although i've also heard that sequoia and samplitude are good Magix programs.
