They fought about hentai, they fought about games

They fought over horrible 4 channel memes

They made tower defenders and sprite movies too

Voted five on movies that deserved only two

But something that's rarely done (save sometimes in jest)

The clocks came to see the newgrounds BBS

But the threads were all bad, and the posts were not clever

The forums, it seemed, were more shitty than ever

With some quick photoshop, they set about improving it

But to their dismay, they found someone removing it

Zendra, it seems, is not a clock fan

Who responded to posters with 30 day bans

The clocks chuckled at this, for what clock gives a shit

About bans from a forum we never visit?

So farewell newgrounds, we shall see you next year

I see why you say that, but in this case it's actually true, at least to other reading your post, if not you yourself.

Like you say, people on newgrounds take levels very seriously, and to some extent they do reflect how much they know about NG, the system, etc. So when a new user writes a post that flaunts mods and the rest of newgrounds with humour, they are likely to be evaluated negatively. Other users will perceive them as simply attempting to make themselves seem cooler and poking fun at the system without really being a part of it, in which case the post can be discredited and ignored.

But if the post is coming from someone with a higher level, especially one who has obviously intentionally maintained a distance from the forums generally, then it can be taken with respect, and viewed seriously by the general user populace.

Obviously, this is not going to go through everyone's minds when they read your post. But that's what's happening just the same.

True. But even then you're likely, over time, to start to accidentally or on purpose nose around NG a little or maybe read a few front page posts and get an idea of what's going on.

The cc being on the ngbbs the past few hours is the only reason I am lurking. They improved all the threads they've posted in as far as I'm concerned. Even though a lot has been deleted. I Iove the clueless responses to it all. They made it more entertaining and they spiced things up and the best part are the 2 people here who can laugh and are enjoying it while the rest seemed to be confused and enraged.
