When NYC's first ball-drop caused over 60 deaths from raining shattered glass, I don't think the ball is supposed to explode anymore

The Mayans came down in there mothership and swooped us all up to mars.
it was awesome.
I missed it too. Well. I actually kinda forgot about it, quite stupid of me, eh? I bet it was the greatest ball drop of all time, and we missed it.

It was like last year's ball drop.
And the year before that.
And the year before that.
Me too. But the difference is I don't care.
I missed it. That stuff is overrated anyways. I have no desire to see a giant ball slowly fall.
true dat. I see no entertainment ina giant ball slowly falling. although if it did explode then that would be awesome!
Dick Clark's back and healthy. Although he stuttered like an old bitch. He gonna die in a few years.

It's that there thing they call tradition. Always gets ya.
I saw it on TV, I am suprised how many companies got their logos plastered all over the place.
All I could think was how my laptop was made by the same guys who apparently made all the huge display screens...

I didn't miss the ball drop, but really, it's just like every other year. I was barely awake when it happened. Plus, I'm a New Yorker and I couldn't care less about it.
Every year they do it wrong! Why can't they just toss the ball down the street, and whoever is struck by it suffers?
PEOPLE BOWLING!

I guess it was better than last years...I think.
They had nice fireworks and the ball looked nice.
You didn't miss anything, man. Huge crystal ball goes down, fireworks are shot, confetti is thrown, famous newscaster/host says "Happy New Year" and it's done like this every single year.
Credit goes to ChrisLovejoy for this spectacularly spooky sig! [Go fab to fight against breast cancer! For the sake of titties everywhere!]
I missed it but I heard it. Just had to use the bathroom yo.

Um, the old guy they have (I forget his name) on the countdown, he skipped from 13 to 11. Guess we know who's not going to be counting next year.
