I read on IGN that there was going 2 be a super mario galaxy 2 and they said what they wanted nintendo 2 put in the game. I want 2 know what you want in smg 2.

Sadly this is probably what's going to happen. When I got Galaxy I didn't even finish it because I got so bored of the redundancy from that game and it was just unexciting. They need to spice up the game some.

2. In 2, I would like to see Wario make an apperance, several new power-up, a more challenging Bowser fight, and some harder challenge levels.

I would like actual ROUND planets, instead of this floating rock crap. Also, a little more diversity, rather than the same missions over and over again in different galaxies.

Y'know what'll be cool? How about a gigantic waterslide? An entire stage dedicated to a water slide theme park? I don't think they've ever thought of that in a 3D mario game before, I mean they have slides... but never an epic waterslide or a waterfall slide.

I really think the game would have worked better as a progressive world, instead of selecting levels like Mario 64 did. It would be OK to block certain areas off until you achieve a number of stars or beat a boss or whatever, but I think as a whole it would have felt more like a living, breathing universe if it wasn't broken down into level selection. I thought that's the way it was going to be when the game was first announced... Too bad :\

It definitely won't be like that in the second game either, but one can dream, and masturbate to thoughts of a Mario game like that.

I'd really appreciate solid, classic soundtrack like Paper Mario and Super Mario 64 had. None of the music stood out for me in Galaxy, none of it was fun or unique or special.
And, for as clever, cute and entertaining as the storybook presented backstory was, the fact that you could only access it by having it read to you in a literal story time outweighed any positive influence it had on the overall experience. I mean, really, was this game marketed to an audience too young to read for themselves? So young that they were still read to by their mommies?
The Mario series was great because it was kid friendly, but not explicitly kid oriented. Everyone could enjoy the simple presentation and bright colors, but underneath all that was some really freaking solid gameplay. And even though Galaxy had arguably the best gameplay of all the Mario games, it ran to the complete extreme in terms of child friendliness. I was surprised it was even rated E, and not K-A. :S

a free roaming galaxy off course. every "level" into a single big universe where you just shot yourself to other planets/rocks to continue the plot. also lot's of secondary missions. more diffrent missions and not the same over and over again.

I want the blue turtle shell from New Super Mario Bros. The odds are against it since they didn't even have it in NSMBW, but I can hope, can't I? It just has so many applications. Imagine how you road koopa shells through water in the first game, except with this you are the koopa shell. Plus, shaking the Wii remote to send yourself flying into an enemy instead of just tossing a shell. That's verging a little close to Sonic, but it would be fun. You could still slide around if you ran for long enough, and this time it would be in 3D.

Also, I'd like to see WiiMotion + capabilities. Not as a necessity, but as an option. Things like flying, rolling around on balls, surfing, they would only be increased. As for a big open world instead of just choosing levels like in Mario 64, I hadn't thought about it but that would be nice.

The structure was essentially broken down even more than simply levels, since each level was made of separated bodies. I would prefer Super Mario Galaxy 2 to be composed of more levels without that separation. I would like there to be more large levels like in 64 rather than broken up into a bunch of smaller spherical bodies. Certainly some levels would be like in Galaxy, but I think they could reach a better mix. I don't really mind Galaxy and 64's level structure though; attempting to connect such a variety of levels would feel contrived to me.
