3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI know bad years are coming because so many amplifiers come up. For example, just watched Avatar, just a piece of blatant propaganda of the green cult reflecting exactly the beliefs of the Copenhagen delegates. So you got a bunch of New Age cultists rejecting technology and living without carbon emissions, the main character tries to infiltrate them to build their trust but becomes so disgusted of the humanity that he even rejects his own body. So, the film rejects consumerism and material possessions while it had a budget of hundreds of millions.
So, what do you think are the most obvious brainwashing films?
I don't mind Brainwashing films that are actually good, it's the ones like 2012 that fucking make me boil.
"Believe Christ.... Believe Christ"

Well, ignoring the fact that he finds love living as a smurf cat, and his human body was crippled and paralyzed.
You cant really find a film without any bias. What you might think of as neutral, to others is biased. Simply supportive in one perspective is propaganda in another. i'm just kinda realizing this. Everyone's reality is different... Perspective is reality.... Holy shit... I am stoned.
Vote Green.
Sig by PabMo. Thank you very much.
2012? Brainwashing? That film was made for a laugh and you know it.

They made a $200 million budget film which is completely lame except the special effects for a laugh? It is obvious as hell, full of cliches and a salad of symbols like the Sistine Chapel and the Christ the Redeemer statue falling over desperate people while the Tibetan master peacefully awaits his death.

Its a shit movie from a shit director who only seems to do films where the world ends. Don't take stuff so seriously man.
What are these films trying to brainwash us to do? Embrace humanities end? Recycle? I'm sure most movies are going to have a message behind them, who spends a zillion dollars to say nothing?
First blood! First topic of 2010!
KC Green has just won my heart.
Kogey made a sig, but it was too much for me to handle.
I LOVE brainwashing movies!
C'mon, isn't it HILARIOUS if you KNOW it's superstitious mumbo jumbo?
It IS!
Go cry me a river then build a bridge and get over it.
Tick Tock
I don't know 2012 was hilarious with all the hidden jokes and such plus I live in Los Angeles so it made it even funnier
Anyone who i influenced in any way to believe in apocalypse because of 2012 should be shot in the head repeatedly.
A vagina is really just a hat for a penis.
So movies having a meaning and a stance on things means that they're trying to brainwash you? The symbolism was pretty blatant broski. No subdued propaganda thar.
it's less brainwashing and more marketing if you ask me
i mean sure avatar is sorta about living in harmony with nature and shit
but regardless
avatar is the picture on top of big mac boxes at mcdonalds
i mean c'mon
Everytime I see a brainwashing film, I laugh
The more I laugh, the more I'm not brainwashed
Brainwashing contents just don't matter, unless you have a weak mind.
And a film doesn't contain contents only, it also contains graphics, music, actors etc.
Yesterday I saw "Paranormal Activity"
I'm serious, the whole crowd was LAUGHING, especially where the girl was dragged off, that was HILARIOUS.
Seriously, most people don't get brainwashed as easily anymore.
Tick Tock

Not everything with religious symbols in it is brain washing. Neither is everything that sends a political/social message/opinion. Like someone already said, everything is biased. Film is art and art is, has always been and always will be laced with opinion. That doesn't mean that the film is malicious.

I second this.
Brain washing? How is this brain washing?
The script is just what the author wants to make it, if they want a world where there is no technology, then let them have it. What the fuck, is Tar-Zan an animal rights propaganda film, meant to show that humans are on the same level as animals, and that we should value their lives?
Also, 2012 isn't meant to brainwash, it's just riding on the huge deal we as a society are making about this whole B.S prediction. It'll make money in theaters.
Titanic was pretty much a brainwashing movie...

Yeah, I almost believed it was true.

All that 2012 bullshit Is brainwashing I hate it!
It's just a hoax to get money from people, just like Tom Fulp, it's all a lie.
Tick Tock

Most of them are stupid atleast. If you complan "Why? I want it to happen." Why? Really? It would be pretty terrifing.Flesh eaters all around? It doesnt seem like a fun time.
Im so epic,I dont need a sig.
It's called "Making a statement" or "expressing a message"
it's not brainwashing because no one is forcing you to buy into it. No one is making you agree with it. I think you're just insulted at the idea that their might be a nugget of thought in your mindless dribble that you call entertainment,
Render Unto Caesar
athiest films like religeless.
spelling?
I wouldn't say films like that were designed to brainwash. Especially considering there are already films available that were made specifically for the purpose of inspiring certain political agendas. Like old Soviet films Strike, Battleship Potemkin, Oktober, etc.

I thought it was quite funny, some of the things that happened just aren't possible.
