The Euphamism cycle.

I've noticed that when ever one comes up with a new name for a group of people, or a less offensive version of a "Bad" Word, the euphemism then, in turn, becomes just as bad as the word it replaced. look at the term special. It was meant to be a euphemism against the mentally retarded. Now it is just as bad, if not worse, since retarded is used for any situation that is unfavorable, but special means "You're a fucking dumbshit". And now some words that for a while are only an offensive term for a group of people is used mainly for other things. Look at Faggot. When was the last time you talked to a gay person and called him a faggot? Now when was the last time you called some jerk a faggot? The only people who claim that word is offensive are people who are still to dumb and blind to think we mean you're a homosexual! We mean you are a jerk-off! Anyway, it's just dumb, and pointless to try to come up with euphemisms, because guess what, every euphemism will just be as bad as the word you have replaced.

It's an interesting Linguistic theory. It asll has to do with group psychology over time.

that makes sense but i also disagree. like the word dick means weiner but so does the word balls. and i think people started saying dick first & dick and balls dont have the same 'badness' about them.
